Hello i'm looking for the best performing track for my 01 srx. No studs or bulkhead protectors needed. I'm a real aggresive hot trail rider with some occasional lake blast to beat up on srx magic :) Will a 1.5" lug height pull hard? I've had 1.25" camo 9830 and was not a fan. I don't need to go 120mph but i want to get to 100 real quick!! I got porting and some good clutching. Thanks for the input

Does any of you run a 1.5" and how does it perform?

We run a Camo 144" 1 1/2" full clip Xcountry track on one of our SXs[same tunnel clearance ect]. We have 8 tooth extroverts on it so clearance is not an issue. The sled hooks up great and top end has not been effected much compared to the 1 1/4" ripsaw we had on it before[had to replace a year old 1 1/4" ripsaw on this sled after I lost a rail tip...speered the track...tore out a huge section of track...ect]

right....i think you need to run 8t drivers, in order to run a track w/1.5" lug height. 1.25" lug height i think is the limit for stock drivers.

I get ya, I was not sure how much acceleration i would gain by that 1/4 in height difference. Now i'm assuming the clearence issue is without the bulkhead protectors right? as i do not run studs, mine have been out 4 years.

1.75" will clear the exchangers with 9's if you take out the protectors (no need unless you stud.) Done it lots of times. 2" will need 8's.
Thanks ryan 9" is stock right? also did you gain alot of, out of the hole performance fron a 1.25 to a 1.50 or 1.75 and how much top end was lost? thanks alot cj

9's should be stock for that sled. Currently my sled pulls like a train to about 80 or so, then it starts to level off. I'm running a 144x2 right now, and it's geared for that track and playing out west. Top end isn't really my thing:)

Thanks for the info, I think 2" maybe a little bit 2 much for me! but 1.5" may be the ticket! I'd like 2 pull hard till about 105 or so

Find a stiff lug 1.5". I had a stiff snow x camoplast out of the Skidoo accessory book on mine when it was a short track. Made sleds with ripsaws and 9818's look like they were tied to a tree. 9 tooth drivers clear fine with the protectors removed.

Really! another member on here also recomended a stiff factory 1.5 track. I think that may be the ticket. I wear these new soft camo tracks out in 500 miles!! Just too soft for my riding style I beat the living snot out of em!
