I recently changed my drive sprocket to a 8 tooth driver because I am putting a 1.75 after Christmas. For now I have a 1.25 Kimpex X Force track on my 121 1998 srx 700. I changed the gearing to 22 top 40 bottom What changes would be best for both primary and secondary ? Should I change my helix and weights? All clutching is stock now! I only want to ditch bang and have a little for powder riding!

22-40 WITH 8 TOOTH DRIVERS IS A 2.05 RATIO. YES YOUR GONNA HAVE TO MAKE SOME CLUTCHING CHANGES. 3:16 (yammie tony)

Yes totally stock clutching, I had a maxx roller secondary clutch but it just sucked so I put the oem back on. What should I run for weights and rollers in primary and which helix angles would be best to use for 2.05 gear ratio 8 tooth driver with 1.75 x15x 121 track I want PULL

I WOULD USE YAMAHA SECONDARY WITH LIKE AROUND A 47-43 HELIX AT 80 TWIST. POSSIBLEY THE 8DN-20 WEIGHTS WITH A W-W-W PRIMARY. I DON,T THINK YOU WILL NEED TO SHIFT THIS SLED FAST ON BOTTOM END BANGING DITCHES WITH THAT GEAR RATIO. JUST A START I GUESS. I DO KNOW THE STOCK 98 SRX CLUTCHING CAN EASY BE INPROVED ON FOR CLUTCHING !! 3:16 (yammie tony)

Your gonna need some serious weight & a steeper helix to bring down rpm,s.
Start with a w-w-w primary spring
add a 1 gram washer behind new 4.5 gram rivets in the primary weights
Get a helix about a 54/44.
Your rpm,s are gonna go way up.

well with that ratio, you won't have to worry about top speed. stock ratio was 1.61. should be good for plowing a field or climbing denali. shouldn't run out of power!

TRY THEM LOADED UP (4.5). YOU CAN ALWAYS CHANGE TIP WEIGHT. 3:16 (yammie tony)

The 8DN-00 that is stock or new 8DN-20's with 1 gram washers behind 4.5 gram rivets at theTip?
W-W-W primary spring!
A 54/44 helix what spring for secondary ?
What should the rpm be? 8400 max?
I need power but I haven't got the know how to get it to the track!

You want to be 8400 max on a stock engine. 8dn-20 weights is what you need. The 8dn-00 need a gazillion grams in em loaded up to bring down rpm,s due to their flat allmost 4 stroke weight profile.

Thanks Turk, For my secondary 54/44 with Which Spring? I can get A 54/46 helix off a member of the forum, or should I buy 54/44 from bender? This is my everyday rider. I do not care about spending $$$ for this sled .What would you suggest?

Ok so I got my 8dn-20's, my 8cr- 20's rollers, 6-4.5g rivets 3-1g washers, a W-W-W primary, A green secondary on the way and my 54/44 helix from bender in the mail. How much tuning is going to be involved in setting up after installing all parts? If rpm are high Do I add tip weight and if low subtract tip weight? When you said "loaded up" you meant 4.5 grams + 1g washer in tip and 4.5 g in center?
