Transfer rods are just stoppers...Thats it.If you put the same lenth rods on and the gap on top is the same as the rods you took off there is no differance at all.Yamidude59 said:NOt meaning to hi jack this thread, but i put bender Tc3 t-rods on my 01 srx and it is not long travelled... i had to mount these rods int he further back holes for them to work... i have a 50/50 gap maybe 60/40 when i'm not on the sled.... Are these t-rods useless unless i get a long travel kit for the back? I had t hem on all last season and i honestly didn't notice a huge difference between these ones and the stock ones...
Some one shed some light on this maybe?
Thanks
Being in the rear hole/longer rods you have a settup that limits transfer so skis will not come up mutch when you hookup.
Shorter rods let the sled transfer more because the Top axle were the rods are mounted can swing farther back than the long ones putting pressure on the track and not bottoming out not doing nothing like the long ones.
When doing long travel the sled should be made to be higher in the front like a viper so it will work properly.Install viper shocks and perferibly change trailing arms and spindles to viper ones.
Set the sled up with what you have leaving the bottom transfer rod holders off untill the track is tight and the fra is in the middle and the front spring settings are were you want.
Than look to see were the rod holders should be mounted. If you only went with the viper shocks and not the trailing arms than it will not be to spec because you have 1 1/2 less front highth.
The rods holders will have to be mounted to compensate
where can you buy the long travel kit.
