I had to get my primary clutch off my 96 Vmax 600 XT . so i bought a clutch puller and man it was stuck on there good and damb tight, I mean tight, so tight I was bending a 14" wrench with a 20" hydrolic jack handel on the end to get some torque .
Regardless to say the cluch puller busted off inside were it tappers and bent .
man I was pissed off .
So then I read heer in the forum about filling the bolt hole with grease and using the bolt to create hydrolic pressure to take it off .
Well this it my testamony to the fact that It works . I had to put teflon tape on the threads to keep the grease from oozing past the threads ,but once i did that (BANG) off it came.
and it came off easy .
I had to count all my fingers Cause it was so loud it scared the poop out of me

Been there with a stuck clutch that will not come off. Did the grease with the puller and had the same outcome she popped right off right away!
Instead of grease just use water,,, no mess to clean up.....

Still a believer in the ol impact wrench, hasnt let me down yet.
Impact wrench may put unwanted stress on the crank bearings,,, do be careful.......

I would have used water, but my sled is compleately apart as im putting on new track ,hyfax, idlers, skis.and re built the engine .
just in my haste when i finished the engine and carbs and put it back it the sled started it up to listen to it run I forgot to put the new rollers back in the clutch and when i reved her up the weights swung up and broke my sliding sheive .
thats why I had to get it off.
so its to difficullt to get water in as its all blocked up .
next time ill use Water though .
I wont even bother with a new clutch puller .
