Shaper bars really work well on the SRX. I'm on my second or 3rd set. I got a set for my Dad's Viper Venture and he's amazed at the difference. New skis would be nice but shaper bars are more affordable :-)

Has anybody herd of action traction systems carbides? Royal Distributors here in canada has a sell on them. They are called Studman pro edge 1. $34.95pair.

Netefrog said:I would suggest Kimpex Arrow skis. They have a dual keel, they're not flat like boards (C&A), they're reasonably priced and they have a reputation for working well with 2-Stroke Yammies. I ordered a pair for my 01 SRX...
I'll second the Kimpex Arrow skis. I had a set of Viper S skis(bad) and switched to the Arrows with 6" Shaper Bars last year, and what a difference for trail riding. They rail corners, steer easy and track straight- no darting.

stock skis and shaper bars seems like the way to go.
03 Viper with 96 studs and 6" Shaper bars is my set up.

Here's my 2 cents..I run stock Viper S skis with Bergstrom tripple points and ski savers. The triple points have seen 4000 miles and might get replaced this season, if they wear out. I have a set of shaper bars ready to go.
I'm running a 1 inch Hacksaw track with 96 studs.
I have zero complaints about the current combo when riding trails in Wi. amd Mi.

I just put a set of Stud-Boy 6" Dual carbides on for this year. I haven't tried them out yet though, because of the snow situation!!

i have a few friends that swear by running one duel and one single carbide they say it takes out the dart without the heavy steering of two duels, again havent tried this myself but throwing it out there for comment
ps theyre cat guys so theyre not too smart to begin with....jk

That's an interesting concept... I'd probably put the duels on the left side as that's where'd you run on pavement more often along the roadside.
