Another exciter question

I pulled the seat off my machine because the sides pulled out. I replaced the rotted wood and restapled. Did not come out as good as I had hoped. Anyways, is there a seat from another newer machine that will fit this sled ? Or am I stuck buying a recovering kit?

The 87-93 Exciter seats are pretty much what will fit that sled. The Phazer seats are close but they do not have the rear clearence reqd for the heat exchanger elbows if I am not mistaken.


You can buy the recover kits or look for a complete good used seat.
I am stripping a 93 Exciter II in a few weeks & it has a pretty darn good seat
on it if that would be of interest that I will be selling along with most everything else on this sled.
