Hey guys,
I believe that my oil pump is in malfunction mode where it has opened up all the way to let a continuous flow through becuase I'm burning oil like crazy. I bought a used pump on eBay a while ago and I think I'm going to put it in this weekend. Where is the pump on the vipers? How hard it it to change? Any advice?
Also, I haven't cleaned the powervalves or the carb in little over a year...any tips on doing that too?
thanks guys.

Just a thought.............Did you check the cable going down to the oil injection pump ? It has a split sleeve, it can slightly come apart & hang up, that would make your pump run wide open and empty the oil reservoir fast ??!!! I have had that happen.

Look hard for the cable being hung up at the adjusting location. Changing the pump is not particularly easy. It involves pulling the air box and carbs, and also loosing and moving the motor out of the way slightly
