viper airbox mod

I was wondering if anyone has modified the airbox on a viper. My brother has bender pipes on his viper and I thought that they had instructions on modifying the airbox, but I can't find any info on it. If anyone has any information or pros and cons of modifying your airbox I would appreciate it.

You need to cut a slot in the top of the airbox for the Bender pipes. Mine is about 1" x the length of the entire box. If you are not running the pipes, I do not see any benifit. If you were to try it you will need to keep an eye on your jetting. You will likely end up way too lean.
