So im pushing 5000miles now and have rebuilt the top end last year, just cause. I have the cyl off now for porting wondering if I should replace crank bearings and crank seals.

So how long will an 02 viper crank last? I know that the vipers have had crank issues so I have turned up the oil.

I fog and fill crank with oil ever summer.

Most issues were caused by improper summerizing. All it takes is a small bit of rust on 1 of the bearings & it,s over.

Crank seals are a VERY good idea if you got the cyls off and have time, i would also lift out the crank and at least inspect the bearings and DO change the seals then.

5,000 miles the crank should be just fine...

Thanks I was thinking of replacing the crank seals just for piece of mind, I figure if the crank was fogged every year the bearings should last 15000miles easy.

It will also give me a chance to do a good clean up

so split the case tonight and turns out my stator side seal was just strating to leak feeeeewwuuuuuuuuu. I went very easy.

So should i replace the water pump seals and bearing while im in there I think I read somewhere that it was an issue on these sleds.
