Hi i am looking at getting a lot more bottom end power out of my 2000 sxr 600... i was thinking a clutch kit..any ideas on what brand i should go for

clutch kit, drop a tooth on the top gear, and a good track 1" - 1.25"+ for traction if you don't have a decent track already, bore the stock can for a slight increase HP and a good sound, I have never done it but from what I read, it works, plus its free. You could go on and on about the mods that can be done to the Yamaha triples for more power, on top and bottom. What I'm saying is only the basic stuff.

Drop a tooth in gearing, this will make your clutching feel more responsive. You can go to the tech section and check set ups for clutching and you shouldn't have to buy someone elses clutch kit when you can adjust your clutch to be just like "joe-blows" with genuine Yamaha parts.
"IF" you do a head gasket mod or have the heads cut it is "recommended" that you run premium fuel as you may run into a problem with detonation.
On another thought "IF" you have the cylinders ported you'll notice a difference in power, it will not only help the bottom end but will help all around also, you can run the stock pipe and shouldn't have to run any special pipes or setups if you don't want to, and have NO reliability issues. T
