I just ordered the octane jacket. So I take it you really like it? The jacket is nice and warm? Do you have the zip in fleece for it? What temps do you normally ride in? lol sorry for all the questions.yamaholic22 said:FXR Octane jacket and pants, look great and are VERY warm, windproof, waterproof, love it!
Reima Extreme jacket and pants. Good quality, but costs €€€€

Cold Wave i just bought this year so i haven't got to see how warm it will be, used to just wear a Carhart long coat and my good old faithful denim jeans and long johns.

Check your hyfax ...
Coldwave coldcross pants ... going on 3rd season with them. Have two pairs, I really like them. Before the cold wave I had North Face pants and those worked good, until the waterproofing was shot!
Just picked up a Klim jacket for this season ... I have high hopes for it! Before that wore FXR and wasn't impressed with it's waterproofing only lasting half the season.
North Face boots and Gloves ...

Helmet: Z1R Rail (blue)
Goggles: Scott High Voltage II Sno-X with chrome roost guard
Baclavia: black Yamaha fleece baclavia
Jacket: Yamaha Flame Jacket
Gloves: Yamaha Team Gauntlet or Yamaha Team Cross Gloves (The Team Cross gloves are a really nice pair of lightweight MX style glove for warm days, which for me is anything above 10* F)
Pants: Yamaha Value Bibs
Boots: Sorel Cold Mountain (a nice pair of short pack boots that are rated to -25* F)
I must say that the Yamaha suit that I have now, even though it is a relatively cheap suit (the pants and jacket combined cost around $220) is the warmest suit Ive ever owned. This suit far exceeds the warmth that even some of the high-end leather Polaris suits that I have owned. It seems to me that Yamaha has the best clothing line of any of the brands.

I use all Ripzone brand clothing. They use some of the best fabrics and they are the best price clothing out there. They make everything from 5000-20,000mm shells to 20,000 down filled puffy jackets and pants. They also include the Recco system in their clothing which helps people find you in an avalanche. check them out online @Ripzone clothing click on outerwear.
