Cobra track on a SRX?

Has or is anyone using a cobra track on a 2000 srx? If so did you need to put the smaller drivers in or modify anything. My brother inlaw wants to put a new track his sled, he is currently running a ripsaw with no studs, he also would'nt be running studs in the cobra track.

Cobra's are like a 1.375" lug if I remember correctly... I have been told you can run up to 1.75" (no studs) on an SRX with stock drivers, just have to take off the tunnel and heat exchanger protectors...

That's what I was thinking , but wanted to know if anyone else had done it. We already have tunnel protectors out for the ripsaw. Thanks for the input!

Have you talked to many people running the Cobra tracks? I've heard they rip out pretty easy on hard pack and road crossing trails, I was going to try one on my SRX last winter but found a deal on some 1.875" snocross tracks so I tried those out (that track didnt like being on my SRX up in the mountains, I was doing lake runs and by the end I was missing 12 lugs, but was an amazing track)... Im looking at 1.5"-1.75" for this winter...

The ripsaw he had is shot with about 2500 miles on it. He spins the track to much trying to keep up with me. I told him to just ease into it rather than punch it all the time. His reply was there's no studs in it , so what's it hurting. Well he looked at track and said he needs a new one because it's shot. I just laughed and suggested the new cobra because that replaced the old predator/carve track according to camoplast. But your saying it rips out easy. What about the kimpex shotgun track, anyone use that?
