Finally getting ready to put the edge skid in my Viper, and thinking about possible upgrading the track as well.

I currently have the 136" 1.25" Camoplast Carve/ Challenger track on it.

I'm going to drop in some 8t extroverts while i'm at it.

What is the largest lug height that I can run with studs ( a lot of icy roads in my area) without hitting anything?

Thanks Everyone!

In theory if the 1.25 is the largest track you can use with 9tooth drives (notched for the protectors)then 8tooth which is .5 samller in its radius should let you run a .5 larger track. As for studs, it looks like the largest is 1.175 for the 9tooth drives, so add .5 for your 8 tooth.

longest is 1.175 unless you go to 8 tooth drivers. I have 1.175 on a 1in track and the studs have touched the tunnel a couple of times.

Yes unless you always keep your track tight.I would stick with the shorter sizes. They will still give you 1/4" past the lug.

Ah got it, and since I want to run 8t extroverts with a loose track i'll stick with my 136 x 1.25

Thanks you saved me some headaches...

In a few years I may go 144 ;)!

I might have a set of used 8 tooth extroverts on a shaft ready to install if your interested. I want to go back to a 9 tooth extrovert setup. I bought them last year for like $60 make me an offer if your interested caddy16v@msn.com
