will a ripsaw 1.25" track fit in the 89 Exciter? I wondered if it will be too high. thanks!

installed a 136 x 1.5 track off of a summit on my 93 exciter, works great, have had no problems, this sled just won't die, 9000 miles and still going strong

did you do this with or without changing drivers?powderhound1 said:installed a 136 x 1.5 track off of a summit on my 93 exciter, works great, have had no problems, this sled just won't die, 9000 miles and still going strong

93 Exciter II's could have different clearance in the front that the 89 had ? I know front heat exchanger protectors were a must when running studs on the 87-90 Exciters with stock .625"(?) tracks because of the tight clearance.
I had a 1" in my 89 and there was maybe another half inch clearance in the front, and I was using 8tooth drivers. Not sure what that would come out to with the stock 9 tooth drivers.

that was my point, without a drop to 8t drivers, the taller track wont clear. didnt want the original poster to be mislead. model year shouldnt make that much difference.
