Hey guys went through most of the posts trying to find stuff on the 99 but not so much luck mostly all about 2000 2001 and 2002 and the 98 with the crank issue...
well after being through a summer with no sled and winter coming up... I cant fight the itch.... I need another sled.
I was trying to look for something abit different then a srx... but I came across a nice looking srx...
I found a 99 srx 700 with 4300 km's all stock... for $2850 Canadian... Most srx's around here around going for 3000$ but with over 7000km's at the least. some with even 10,000... those however are usual the year 2000-2001 srx's
So I was just wondering anything I should whatch for in the 99's?
I know the basics like checking power valves, cables... primary clutch... W arm ...going to check compression... but anything weak about them that I wouldnt know?
Should I even bother? I might be able to get my hands on a 2002 mxz 700 with 5300 km's for 3500 on the dot fully serviced if its not already sold... but if it is... I wouldnt mind thinking about the srx...
The guy owning the 99 srx doesnt know much about them from when I was asking questions...but also said he doesnt take it out much and has a buddy thats a mech that checks it out now and then... and he has owned it since 2001 bought it from a dealer ship that used it as a "show model"
