so im new here and i have a ? anyone know the stock setup on srx a 2001 clutch?
my sled comes in at 4500rpm revs to 8600-8700 it runs great i guess im just asking if you think its clutched or not the helix and everything looks stock but i wonder if i should leave well enough alone or start playing id like to get optimal performance out of the sled but i dont know the ineers of a snpwmobile clutch im a bike guy..but is 86-8700 too high of rpms

your over-reving, look in the tech pages you can find the stock specs as well as many clutch setups for different ride purposes that will get those revs down

yeah i see all different #'s do you know what it should be revving to??? and how to know what i have in there to explain to maybe get some advice? thanks for your time

you want 84-8500, the clutchers will want to know, what the sled is used for, drags,radar,trail,etc, your primary spring colors, your primary weights (should be stamped) secondary spring color, how much twist, what helix (also will be stamped with either the angle or a part # depending on manufacturer) also what belt is in it, get a new oem yamaha belt, a worn or aftermarket belt will affect your rpms

ok thanks since its so close to 8500 im gonna try a new belt first then go from there...i wanna run it in the grass the 25th then i ride norther vt and maine trails and who doesnt love the lakes????

wash and break in your new belt or you'll smoke it, also get those clutches good and clean
