Trying to stay as close to the factory 1.74 ratio as I can.
I think I am going to be limited however since I have reverse to the lower 38t gear.
With a 24t top gear i'll be at 1.79.
I did find a 25t upper from team industries.
That would put me at a 1.71 ratio which may be better suited for a ported/ piped sled. Anyone try a 25t upper? Any clearance issues?
Any thoughts?

I run 25/38 70 link chain and 8t extroverts in my srx. Works perfect, no clearance problems. Gives me 1.71 gearing with the 8t, stock with 9t is 1.65 (23/38gears).

Everyone has different opions and results. He my experience, I ran 24/38 on my 136 780 ( 8T extros ). My good friend has a mach 1000. 24\38 He could get me out of the hole and pull me all the way through. Top end i was'nt to far off. Went back to 22\38 the same i ran when it was a piped 700. With this setup i pull him 5-6 lenghts to about 85 mph. Running heel clickers RR sec. This setup hauls to 85-90. I have never had a sled get me out of the hole to 600' Ran a supercharged nitro last year we were nose to nose to about 75 mph the he blew past me! Not bad for an old 02 viper!

Nice, I guess the only downside would be top end using the stock 22/38.
That and i'm guessing the speedo would be off as well since IIRC the sensor is on the driveshaft with the extroverts.
Glad to hear your keeping the nitro's busy scratching theirs heads as to why you were nose to nose LOL
