Compared to my fathers sled my SRX 700 takes less oil then his 06 Venture 600. During the season he goes through more oil then me. Cold start up or hot idling you can always tell his engines smokes more. Just ridding, if I follow him to close I can smell it. He says when he follows me he can't smell mine.
Before summerization last year I measured both our oil pump cable adjustment. We where both in specs, me at 21mm and him at 25mm.
He was told by the dealer it's the nature of both beast. Is this true? I would of though the opposite.

Yes it is true, they do burn alittle more oil.
