as a halloween costume? :dunno:

sorry DAMAN, couldn't resist after everyone took their jabs at me with my spelling last week....lol
lol no problem bud speling?, me i wondnt do that?

After 1500 miles last year, my power valves were a bit crusty on the outside corners of the valves but slid right out. I wouldn't wanted to leave them much longer. Interceptor seemed to do the job for me. A deal on a case of quarts didn't hurt either.

I don't buy oil for my sleds. With all the focus on going "green" (green as in being sensitive to our planet, not buying an Arctic cat sled), I take the waste fryer oil from the local fast food restaurants and recycle it through my sleds. The only problem I have found with this is I get pretty hungry after only a few miles of riding.

Just kidding, don't try it.

I'll try and explain it a little later today..... SMOKE is GOOD,,, Please don't jepordize your lubrication because you don't like some smoke... SMOKE is actually your friend and helps to keep your exhaust system and powervalves LUBRICATED!!! An oil that does NOT SMOKE actually BURNS OFF all of the lubrication and HELPS the valves to get STUCK!!!! More later..... BTW,,, I use KLOTZ and have been using KLOTZ for as long as I have had MONEY to buy KLOTZ (around 12 or 13).!!!

I would like to know if we care this much about the oil we all put in our truck/ cars, or is this just in the sleds. My friends are funny.....they spend $ 10L on the sled, then put CDN tire iol in the $50,000+ truck. lol

What 98% of the people realize or don't realize is there IS....a difference when it comes to lubricants, oil, grease, etc, there NOT all created equal you will get what you pay for, not going any deeper then that here, this is sliding off topic, they can google this stuff.

my personal vehicles get nothing but M1 and sleds get Amsoil.

I have a $52,000.00 DODGE 2500 pickup truck and it likes ROTELLA T SYNTHETIC!!!! around $20.00 a gallon and it likes THREE GALLONS every 7500 miles and a $12.00 oil filter....

And my RACECAR likes LUCAS 20-50 SYNTHETIC and it likes EIGHT QUARTS and a $10.00 oil filter!!!

And the Jeep Liberty ( the Mrs. ride) gets VALVOLINE @ $2.00 a quart ( it likes FIVE) and a MOPAR oil filter (around $5.00)

Well, I am going to break down buy some Amsoil just for the Viper, I am really pissed at this but I don't want to keep cleaning the power valves after each ride. I have about 10 gallons of Yamalube on the shelf and now 2 gallons of Interceptor. Gary I know you wished I would have ordered Klotz, Daman I am sure you are happy I ordered Interceptor. As to Oils, I run through 250 gallons of 15w40 synthetic a year for my customers and my own personal vehicles engines, and 30 gallons of 75w90 synthetic gear lube for all of the lower gear cases. These are all marine engines by the way, and my own shop suburban with a 454 with 265,000 miles on original engine. Al

Serious question................If all (cheap) 2 stroke oil is the same, why does gas mileage change between the use of yamalube & Sea & snow ? (FACT)

Remember now oil isn't everything when it comes to pv's cleanliness,i've posted this before, lots of other things come into play like gas,oil brands, oil quality, jetting, your thumb, etc, all have a part in it,all great oils out there like the ones mentioned in this thread can result in heavily carbon pv's,i've seen it,BUT where a synthetic shines is less carbon/cleaner running on average and reduced piston skirt and bearing wear over the long haul.

also remember taking the time to Properly adjust oil pump, jetting, using synthetic oil and not putting around at 10mph will yield cleaner valves.
