Looking for some input...just started this '02 SRX for the first time this fall...really tough to start...per usual needed to dump a bit of gas in each cylinder to get it to fire...have changed plugs...ran really rough, only PTO side firing. can hear spark arc from cap to plug when removing from center cylinder. Thing is, no arcing from cap to plug on mag side cylinder. I am pretty sure I've gotta bad case of phase separation (damn E10)! So I've pulled the carbs to clean, I am wondering if I have a bad coil? Would a bad stator cause loss of spark to only one cylinder? Anything else it could be?
Thanks in advance
FYI, I just installed Rocks' Yamaheater kit on my apex...Handgrips SIZZLE now!

Im not an electical expert or anywhere near , but its not likely to be the stator , if you got a good spark to the other plugs.... more likely to be a ignition coil or bad wire , there powered up in sequence therefore check that circuit , must a been a b...... to start on 2 ..
As far as something else , last year i had a 01 with no spark to the center cyl. , I changed just about everything , ended up being a bad headlight condensor that mest up the circuit .when i unpluged the headlight it would run ok but when i plugged it in it would overdraw the current i guess and run like crap ... oddest electrical thing i had ever seen ....

change places sparking coil with no spark coil, viceversa if still no spark on nospark coil then that coil is bad if good spark now doesnt spark then either wire broken or bad cdi or bad connection just my thought
Try the spark plug caps or wire. Coils are wired in series . If one is not working the circuit is dead and they all won't work.Rule out the stator as well.If you have spark on the other cylinders then the stator is workin.
