is it possible to mount the skid farther back in the tunnel to make up the differance for a 136" track, i am installing a 121" bovin expert in my 01 srx, but wana go 136" so i need to add extentions to my 121" to make it 136" or move skid back to take up the slack, any opinions

You are going to need extensions.
as crazy as it sounds i would think someone has tried it
15" difference makes for roughly 7.5" setback. You'd be spearing the track and the thing would ride like poo. Find a set of extensions.
find a set of 136 to 144 ext and set the skid back 3.75 inches.
Setting the skid back in the tunnel is going to mess with the weight distribution - you will be putting more weight on the skis. I wouldn't do it on mine.
That said, I know there's at least one guy on the 4 stroke side who went from 136" to 144" by moving the skid back and I haven't heard how it worked out.

I've done it a couple times and it worked just fine. Actually better than stock

I'm not seeing how moving the skid back would cause the rails to spear the track, if anything, it would do the opposite; make the approach angle smaller so it would run on less of the bend... (unless the track flexes up easier when you get into deeper snow, causing it to spear, right?)... an anti-stab wheel kit would solve that, but then you are looking at the same cost as rail extensions...

for ditch bangn and drift jumpn, how will extensions hold up, on a ad bovin it already has a to of rail behind the back mount point, extensions seem like a weak point for folding/bending
