I thought I would throw this out there for you guys to devour. On two separate occasions, I have heard from 94-96 Vmax owners that the gas mileage can be improved upon by replacing the primary and secondary clutch springs on a regular basis. Not sure what they claim the improvement, as just about any increase is considered an improvement. Anybody on here done this and noticed any significant improvement?

I have no idea about the clutch springs but it makes since the machine would run better with new springs. I do know from experience that i improved my MPG by doing the following which was recomened to me some time back by this site. Put in a thinner headgasket. I got mine from bender or a stock 95 is the same, carbon fiber reeds and moved the needle clips (cant remember up or down. ) someone else here might remember. Not only did my MPG improve to 11-13 MPG it really woke up the sled. Hope this helps. They still are dogs on the gas compared to new sleds but it helps. Chris

new springs would make the clutch more efficient (spelling??) same as cleaning and changing any worn parts in the clutch. I could see some improvement in super 1C's comments as well.
I found staying off races across fields to be the best fuel improvement. my oil and gas evaporates too quick to measure usage. lol
