I have just bought a 1998 SRX 700 with 9000 miles. Compression is 125 psi across all 3 cylinders and no previous engine work has ever been done, except for the power valves. For those of you who have replaced pistons on your srx, what pistons have you used? SPI? OEM? Wiseco? Also would you do any work to the sled if it is running well or just ride her hard till something goes?

Run OEM pistons. While it's apart, port it

Check the pistons and the bores, if they are within spec's, just re-ring it and drive it like you stole it.
