ok im trying to raise the handlebars on my srx...and i cannot figure out how high i could go without extending everything...would 2-3/4" be too high?? and if so where can i find extended cables??? both oil and throttle, and brake?? thanks in advance...

I just installed a 3 inch riser on mine and the cables are fine. I don't have the airbox back in yet, but there seems to be plenty of slack in the cables. I turned the bars all the way left and right. If you want to check it out before buying, just remove your bars and insert a block of wood between the bars and mount to see what the cables do.

I have a 3 inch riser on my 98 srx and all I had to do was move the master brake cylinder in towards center a half inch This gives the clearance for your hyd line

I think a 3" rise would be "stretching" it on stock cables + brake line. I have a 3" riser on my 2002 SRX as well as both the 99 SXs. I went with longer oil + throttle cables as well as a longer braided brake line, this allows me to position the bars without worrying about cable issues.

I bought a tall riser and then measured how high my particular setup allowed me to go. You can just cut the aluminum riser on your miter box saw providing you have a carbide tipped blade. I might dd that we did two sleds from the same riser and saved $$. What can i say, I'm cheap!

Usually 2" is max but all depends on how the bars are positioned and type of riser used.If you want risers or longer cables etc. i sell all that stuff.

I agree had a 2" and it was tight, but I also rotated the bars up
