Primary clutch removal

a tap with a hammer always works for us... we hit the clutch puller, not the clutch?
I would hope so! And not too long ago slp reported going to the grease method because they were knockin magnets off the flywheels so hammer away boys. Nice chattin with you but i ve got to go rebuild my buddy's melted down srx. Them's the facts.

magnets haven't ever left our flywheel nor has our crank bearings rolled out on the floor... we "tap", not "hammer", our puller and the clutch seems to pop off... but, we do remove said clutch annually or more frequently, to do routine cleaning/inspection... can't really speak for rusted or neglected clutch/crank tapered machined surfaces..

really trying not to sound smart-alec, but haven't ever had to deal with such a stubborn primary?...tj

Nope, buy a puller or borrow one. A three arm puller will destroy the clutch then you will have to get a clutch puller to remove what is left of the clutch.

I do beleave ski-doo have come out with quick disconect for the clutches now.Because the motors arn,t in the frame long enough. l.o.l. So Machplowboyny you should jump on board with yamaha.
