No question about it, don't waste your money on aftermarket belts. I have gotten excellent lifetime on the OEM belts.

can't stop you from running an aftermarket belt..but you will pay dearly when she grenades and takes things out.I only lost the speedo cable and the belt of course..and a great big dent in the footwell and all the sparkplug holders on the clutch cover were destroyed...$$$$$ didn't need to loose.
My clutch didn't get damaged..lucky me.

your gonna loose a ski this year with your ice scratcher lolllllllll
I had a bud using an ultimax belt on an apex with 2 speed heelclickers. He blew a belt & weights disintegrated. The shattered pieces took out both clutches & the arm of the weight went thru his fox float shock like a 22 shell totally nuking it. Cost to fix carnage was about $1400 for saving $15 on a belt.

This post alone, and not even the whole thread, should be made a "sticky" on EVERY forum of this site...(2 stroke & 4 stroke).... It not only explains the importance of buying quality OEM belts but also what happens if you don't...
AND,
it puts this topic to rest so we needn't see it a "bazillion" more times in the future..

That will never happen, people either choose not to use read the stickies or just think their case is special... same with the search option, i spent half the afternoon reading past posts on just Viper aftermarket heads, how many times has that been brought up over the past year? lol... or "My sled wont idle after sitting all summer"...
How much do OEM Belts cost?
