Hi all,

I've picked up a SXR600 but I'd like to replace one of the trailing arms. Will the arms from a 2000 SRX 700 work? The part numbers are different but look the same and seem to use the same hardware in the online parts fiche.

Thanks,
Dave

check the id letter stamped inside the t/a by the radious rod mounts. if the letters are the same from the srx, it will interchange. lot of times the different pt #'s are for color. most will interchange as the differences lie in the caster and shock mount angle, if replaced with like pairs and you realign front end. which you should realign anytime alterations are made to the front end.

Thanks for the reply. I'll keep my eyes open for something from an SXR then, otherwise it sounds like I would have to replace both sides.

spindle tubes are diff length, sxr is a long travel sled(long tubes) srx isn't(short),stay with same stamping IMO..

That's not entirely correct. They didn't go to the long spindle until the stamped saddle/ski was introduced. I can't recall when the SXR got that ski though, if it ever did.

The OP is looking for an arm with an 'R' stamped in the radius rod bracket.
