Can I run the 8DN 17641-01-00 on my srx 700
Is this belt better because its for the new apex and nytro?

I run the 8DN in my SRX.With all the hard runs I did last season,belt is still like new. New specs is 34.5 mm,wear specs is 32.5 mm.I have 34 mm after the last season,I can`t complain.Of course my clutches are aligned properly to begin with and clutches have had complete rebuilds.Heat kills a belt,my clutches run cool.
The 8DN is the correct belt for the SRX.
I will look and see if I still have the chart with belt info on it.

So your saying I could run the 8DN 17641-01-00 instead of the 8DN 17641-00-00?

Yes, you can run it. The 01 belt is slightly wider than the 00 belt.

It was my understanding last year, that the 8DN-01 belt superceeds the 8dn-00... as in good luck finding the 8dn-00

I live in Labrador, I think we have every 8DN 00 that the rest of the world didn't want!

8BU 17641-00-00 is the old number for 95 to 97 vmax4 belt. Now is 8BU 17641-01-00 and run about $120 at the yamaha shop.
