just bought a 03 sxviper no reverse or eletric start 900 miles it has 4 inch dooleys and studs but not sure how many you guys have any tips for me like things to watch or simple upgrades like risers, will this keep up with f8s,and apexs on trails

If it interests you, take the time to learn about the things that require REGULAR MAINTENANCE. That's an awesome sled you've got, they don't build them anymore. Be good to it and it will last a long time.

Welcom to TY, thats a nice sled U have there with low miles,... If it was seasond properly it will take you a long way. I would check out the teck pages to give yourself a bit better clutching to start off. There are all sort of mods U can do to keep up with the rest of them, but with clutching alone you'll be right there as the sled is very agile....

clean and adjust those carbs + powervalves, and like whammy said check into clutching

wether you want to or not you NEED to clean your carbs and powervalves or pay someone to do it for you, or you'll be getting deeper in the engine dept, as in a rebuild
