Want to take my SRX to the next level and need some help deciding what to do
My sled has the following uppgrades now:
-Aftermarked pipes (not sure what brand)
-Hauck growler stingers
-Heelclicker kit (not sure wich brand, or if I got the corect helix)
-20/40 tothing on gears
-Simple riser for the suspension in front
-Believe it to be a litle rised in the back as well
-4" handlebar rising
-Engans front shocks
Have ordered a set of Vilder racing heads on pure impulse, want to buy v-force reeds, do some mods on the air inntake, 7" camoplast skis..
Want this to be a fast sled with strong acceleration. My goal is not to be the one that goes to the top of any mountain..
Any thoughts or sugestions about this, what toothing should I have, which helix is optimal and so on..

ahhhh, i didn't even notice that,Now we know who bought the Vilder heads on e-bay.
you need porting done, throwing mismatched bolt-ons at it are only going to slow you down

LOL, that's what i was thinking and caught right away.
SRX700_Norway, can you give us the specs of the domes when you get the heads? we can then predict octane rating, trapped compression ratio, squish velocity, etc.

you guys are good and damn you wanted those things , i shut my computer off when they hit $240
If you have 20/40 gearing and heelclickers, you better have a pretty steep helix to keep it from overrevving. What's the angle on that thing?

woa, can give some info when I recieve the heads
will not EVER get ridd of the growler can, love the sound
One says dont buy the v-force, the next got v-force and want me to get ridd of the heel clicker :P not easy to know what to do :P
norwegian: will check the angle tommorow..
No over reving, good top speed and accelration at the moment.. No problem beating a 800 RMK at the tracks

Have checked a litle now.. Actually got v-force reeds, just didn't know it..
The helix has the numbers 38 and 70. Not shure about the clutch, cause on the hood it says Hinderson Clutches, but on the belt cover it was something like HCX clutches..
Got the heads, can put out some pictures if you like.. Looks like the volume inside is much smaller on the Vilder ones..

Can anybody please help me a bit? Need to know if the helix is fine for my setup (btw, red spring on primary and black on secondary i think) There where no specs with the heads, all i can see is that the inside volume is smaller on theese.. Is it smart to use?
Thought i could mount 3 seperate closed air filter, and let them enter in the front of the speedo, where the cold air kit mounts. Any thought about this?
Where thinking about 3x these filters:

You probably have an HC-X roller secondary- made by Heelclicker (Supertorquer), which could also slow you down

Careful with the heads and air filters improper jetting is the fastest way to keep you from the snow. 20/40 gearing is fun in the turns but not much for top end. Vforce reeds do hurt on the srx they flow too much i was not happy with them until i installed stuffers. Best weight i found so far is actually yamaha ones either 8bu or 8dn.

thanks for answering
as the season is closing, I will have to pass on some of my ideas for now..
Will leave the original air box, but install the bender cold air kit.
Have a couple of questions yet:
-Still havent got any answers regarding my helix
-Should I just sell the heads, or whats needed?

cant help with the helix, the heads if they are enough smaller to see by eye you wont be running pump gas with those.
your season is wrapping up over there. when does it get started? ours is just starting in my area

Stop spending money on the motor until you get some real suspension under that thing that can actually transfer that power to the ground. I just threw a pro-x skid in my red head triple this fall...its a completely new beast. only 96 studs and it just sits back and goes now. Not to mention I can ride the trails all day and not feel like my back is broken. Only cost me a couple hundred for the skid w/ adj shocks and about 2 days working on it. Simple but VERY effective upgrade.

thanks for answering, im running 98octane pump gass now, so if I want to run them, race fuel would be the option? What about octane booster or alco injection?
Ooops, bad writing by me, meant that the season was comming up soon

well that could change things then, we dont have pump gas with octane that high here, best thing would be to have an engine builder look em over and tell you what octane you needim running 98octane pump gass now
