163HP Viper ???? is it possible

that seems high for a stock bore srx.

what is Iantomassi claiming for a big bore? 180hp? yeah right.

Iantomassi only claims 170hp for a 780, that is why they recommend to go with just their porting set up, not that much difference in HP figures. The skirts on a 780 Big Bore are thinner and they are prone to breaking. Here is their phone number if you doubt me. (905)265-4868 ask for Gerry or Flav.

The only one that claims 180hp is Benders BB, thats a 835cc, big bore pipes, V-force reeds and .030"timing advance, thats 180.4hp, 108.9torque @8700rpm.

Well, at this point I can say I am editing my sig! Like I said earlier I was just posting what SLP claimed to me on the phone when I told them what was done to my sled. If nothing else this thread is informative and we can see there is plenty of knowledgeable people who have done all kinds of cool mods to their Vipers. I would love to find a local shop with a sled dyno but they're just not in my area. There should be some in NY somewhere.

DynoTech Research, Batavia NY... not sure how far of a drive it is for you (roughly 15 minutes for me), I plan on taking my Viper in as soon as I get my mods done to it this winter...

I suspect the .030" timing advance would be for an SRX CDI only??...The Viper CDI has a lot of timing in it already.

Thanks for the info. If I can't find anything closer I might run up there. How are the trails up there. It's like a 5 hour trip with me.

ouch, yea, I imagine you could find something closer than that, lol... Trails are in the middle, some weekends you wish you had a hovercraft for the moguls and other times you can cover some ground in a hurry and not feel it... I logged somewhere around 2200 miles around here last winter, it was awesome...

That Speedwerk claimed with Pipes, Billet Head and V-Force Reeds Whould make 163.5 Hp What he stated was what the Viper motor with Pipes. Billet Head. Vforce Reeds only make 147.5Hp with safe jetting. And he also stated claimed Hp Vs Dynoed.

Yes I understand that. This is why i posted the link to his site. He also dyno'd a number of other pipes brands and sleds. Great site. There is also a video of them doing a Viper dyno test on Youtube if I am not mistaken. Although the actual numbers in the video are difficult to read.
