anyone have there viper give them no spark, after trying to start it for the first time of the year, after it sat all summer? if so, what did you find as the problem? i tried starting my viper tonight, and no spark. it worked fine last year when i parked it. don't know exactly what's the issue yet. right now i'm going out in the shop to check out the stator, pickup coil, etc. i'll let you guys know what i find. you guys have any tips? this is my first issue w/the sled. hopefully the last too.....LOL.
 
Never had that issue on a Viper but many other sleds. I would check to make sure your key switch, kill switch are working fine as well as the TORS all though I don't believe it would cause a no spark condition I could be wrong.
 
The vipers have a problem with the wiring harness getting rubbed through under the engine but if it never cut out before on you I wouldn't think that would be the case.

I second this. Happened to my SRX. You can do a resistance test to see if its within spec. Find the plug with the 2 wires that run to the pickup coil and test it there. Not sure on the Viper but on the SRX its just in front of the disc brake. Mine showed infinite resistance.
 
guys, i found it. i feel so stupid, as i had pinched the power wire for my added polly heaters, between the frame and the bolt that holds on the black plastic panel by the recoil..... :o| that wire that i added in to power my polly heaters, splices in w/the red power wire @ my voltage regulator, so it was just grounding out the power to the cdi, to give spark to the coils. glad it was a easy and simple quick fix. thanks to all who replied to help. :letitsnow at first i thought it was mice too, but i couldn't find a nest or chewed wires.
