Brackets to put viper shocks on an SRX

Bought a set of viper shocks and was wondering if anyone has a set of these brackets or if they have any blue prints.

I thought I read somewhere that if you go with the Viper shocks you DON'T have to go with the brackets! I thought someone said they were a direct bolt on. If I can't find some Viper shocks for CHEAP, or the aftermarket brackets for the stock shock's, then I am just going to do the flip from one side to the other for now. I would prefer to have the longer travel shocks though...:o)

viper shock upper mount is not the same as srx so yes you do need a bracket that goes from srx bulkhead to viper clevis shock

Thanks staggs, now if I could just find some dam brackets!!!! :o|

contact Gaston's Sports and Marine in Kapuskasing ON. I saw some there this summer. www.gastons.ca . I'm not sure exactly if they were just SRX drop down or Viper to SRX, etc. but it's worth checking.

i'm in the process of putting a sc10III in the rear of mine and my intent is to put viper shocks up front after, i'm a pipefitter/welder by trade and plan to fab my own. i have a few nagging pre-winter house chores to deal with first but when i do the job i'll try to help anyone anyway i can. when i get going i'll start a thread in the working log so keep an eye out

As requested. This is the best pic I have of the bracket as installed.

I also included pics of the covers I made that accomodate the top of the shock as it protrudes through the bellypan.

okay, if I put RX1 front shocks on my SRX, do I have to still use the brackets to move them slightly outboard? I have heard that the RX1 shocks are a direct bolt in and you can use the brackets if you choose to. Any thought's?
;)!

snomofo what did you make the covers out of[/QUOI uTE]

I used the lid from an old piece of test equipment. You want to use a flexable plastic not the rigid stuff you find with some carry boxes. I used a box that my old Superstar II tester came in.

After installing the shocks, I taped some material over the shock mount (about 1/8") to allow for clearance between the cover and the shock. I then roughly cut some of the plastic to mold over the protruding shock. I then got out the heat gun and heated the plastic and to allow it to form over the shock. I had to heat it a couple times until the cover took shape. The corners required folding over (like gift wrapping), heated near melting so that the flap welded together.

I then drilled four holes through the cover and bellypan, counter sinking the cover to allow for countersunk stainless screws. I used 1/4"x10 screws and used a dremel cutting wheel to cut a self tapping slit in the end of the screw which cuts threads into the bellypan. You could use rivets with backers but I wanted to be able to pull the covers without drilling rivets.

I then covered the right side that sits under the pipes with heat tape.

also what is your eyelet center to center measure at ride height?

Man, you're going to make me go out and look. Brrrr it's getting nippy out there.

Okay, center to center is approx. 435mm (17-3/16") but this is extended. I've got it on the hoist and can't put it on the ground 'cause I have the skid out right now.

I got the brackets to put the Viper shocks on my SRX from Hauck about 3-4 years ago. Just bolting on the brackets/shocks gave me too high of a front ride height so I had to widen out my front end...ski stance is now 43".
