Well after hearing what you all had to say I decided to not do the 700 Hauck big bore...
I sent out my 500 jugs and head out Monday and the post office said they would arrive at Hauck wed or thurs. Yesturday (wed) early morning I emailed Hauck twice saying do not start work contact me and I gave them my phone number.
Email is the only way I have been staying connected with them because that is what Titus( guy ive been talking to at Hauck) said is the best way to contact them. I finally got phone call today...
I told Titus that I had a guy that is willing trade a 700XTC for my 500 sx because his wife wants a smaller sled and that I would be doing a bigbore kit on the new 700 so can you ship me back my parts and ill buy new rings from you. He said let me check on it and ill call you back...I got the call back.
It turns out Titus was off of work yesturday (wed)and they already started boring my cylinders so now I am stuck between a rock and a hard place.
So I asked about the reliability issues on them and he said if I keep stock pipe on it will be reliable but when I change pipes it will have more chance of burning down. And he said its all on how the motor is re-assembled.
So I said f*ck it just keep doing the process. Hopefully it turns out to work like they say but from what ive read from you guys its going to be ugly.
Hauck had no sympathy or regret for anything not even an apology for mis understanding. I can see it from both ways but atleast I can say they dont have very good customer service so far... There goes $1200 F my life
