Hello All,

I just purchased Hot Grips® for my sled since the old were not working/wires were severed. With the new grips the kit included a resistor along with a toggle switch with low/high/ and off. I would prefer to just keep the factory variable switch and not utilize the resistor and toggle switch that came with the kit. Has anyone tried just wiring the new grips in with existing variable resistor? HotGrips® website claims you can burn the grips up but hate to be the first.

should have just replaced the stock grips.

Got a hold of the service manual, stock handwarmers operate at ~1.5-1.8 OHMs, Hotgrips are ~3.0 ohms so took them back to get OEM grips...
