Have an 01 Viper ER, fired it up a few weeks ago to check things out and she ran fine. Fired her back up today and its like it has a dead cylinder... Checked the plugs and switched them around and still the same one not working. Have spark from the wire, but when I pull the wire off there is no drop on the number 3 cylinder yet 1 and 2 there is a drop when the wires are pulled. My rpms are also racing up but when I put the choke on and take it off it runs at about 2000... Any suggestions, could it be carberater related??

Sounds like time to clean the carbs! Also get as much of the old fuel out of the tank as possible before adding new fresh gas.

cam what are you doing??Put the damn sled away.Winter has BEEN CANCELLED THIS SEASON!!!! 13 C today.I think this season will be a bad sledding season.Poor dealers, imagine they haven't sold much.I went over to Enns Bros. web site and you would not believe all the used doos they have for sale, including cats, polaris's and some yami's.Gonna be a rough season. They are charging way to much for the used Apex and Attack there to.

I will ride on the grass if I have to Doug, besides you had your sleds out already..lol... I am also in the market for another sled, possibly a 2 up seat for the girlfriend and her youngest.
Put new fuel in the tank, it was drained at end of the season. Also cleaned and drained the carbs before putting it away last spring. It ran beautifully when I was getting out and today just not right... I guess I will pull the carbs, but me and carbs dont mix...lol... I cant think of anything else...

cam....put some Vodka down your tank and watch it light up.LoL Yeah I had mine out a few weeks back, but tore up my friggin lawn good in places again :o| We are going to have to move to BC.In areas they have gotten over 200 cm's of snow in the mountains..sking business is good.

I wouldnt mind doing that, it may clean her out good, but why waste it rather put it in me and enjoy the ride if I cant ride my sled...lol... I know B.C has quite a bit of snow, a friend of mine is going there in a couple of weeks to hit the slopes... Grass always grows back so ride and ride hard on it...lol...
I also noticed some fuel coming through the exhaust so something isnt right in the carbs, maybe the float is sticking???? Not sure... :homework:

oh by the way cam..you better get that sled fixed because I just checked the weather for next weekend and they are calling for around 3 inches of snow Saturday.Got to get me some gas quick. There will be tracks along HWY 75.
