Since I did the airbox mod I have had a slight midrange bog. When cruising at about 5 grand if I punch it, it will bog. I don't think it has to do with the pilot jets because I messed with those last year and it never made a difference. Also there is no bog directly from idle. I believe I need to raise my needles half a clip position. Is this the right thing to do? I can get a video of what its doing if needed. Thanks
I did this too my wife's sled about 8 years ago. I had to go to a .8 air jet instead of the the stock 1.0. No problems.

what position are you at right now w/the needles? stock or did you lower than 1/2 clip, which was a popular thing to do when stock?

I believe i'm in the middle position with one washer under, I'm not sure if thats stock or not but I don't think I messed with them ever.

only 1 washer underneath and 1 on top w/clip in the middle position, is 2.5 position really. stock had both washers underneath the clip. put both washers underneath the clip and keep clip in middle position for now....3.0 position. might even have to drop the clip to 2nd slot from the pointed end and have washer on top and bottom of clip, to give you 3.5 position.

Tried it tonight in position 3 and it still bogs so I'm thinking I need to go to 3.5. I'll try that and see what happens.

Moved needles to the 3.5 position and the problem seems to be fixed. I will have to wait for some snow to know for sure, might not be for a while.

sounds like your on the right track then. what exactly did you all do for the airbox mod? just drill some extra holes in the top cover under the filter?

I did the mod that's in the TY tech section, 7 - 1" holes under the filter and in the shelf.
