Will I need longer cables for a 2" riser ? Some people are saying that I will not need longer cables for a 2" riser. Some are saying I will. What is the correct info ?
no but you will not be able to use the ring on the stock riser that holds the cables

You'll be fine. I have 2" powermadd on my viper. I ground off the stop so I can rotate the bars further forward also. I'm actually going to go another 1/2" higher this winter and I'm not expecting it to be a problem. I also had to remove the cable holder and it freed up more than enough slack.

how about on a 98 srx with 2 inch risers?
I see no problem with that either.
