I have been looking at long traveling my srx and have read a ton of info....But I am wondering if anyone has taken front viper shocks and converted them to srx mounts. I mean cutting off the top flaps that come on viper shocks and welding or fabricating the upper mount off a srx shock to them. It shouldn't be that hard welder and ban saw. I can't find the proper brackets that attach to the bulkhead so I was thinking up new ideas. What do you think???

I did , but wouldnt recomend it. The clevis and spring retaining cap on the Viper shock shaft are fused together and welding on it could weaken the shaft and the connection to the spring retainer cap.

I made my own upper shock mounts out of square stock steal that I cut similar to the original srx mounts but with the shock hole heigher up. I had to cut holes in te belly pan in order to intall the upper shock bolt.
