has anyone put a xtc skid into a stock sx700, is it worth the work and money for the extra travel. are the front springs longer too. any infor would be great.
I put one in my srx, it made a huge difference and was definately worth it. I found out they are the same skid, just different length shocks and limiter straps. So you can actually just switch those out in your skid and have the same thing. Do it and see if you can find some wieght transfer rods. The front springs are longer but you need to change the radius rods and steering rods for them to work.orchie18 said:has anyone put a xtc skid into a stock sx700, is it worth the work and money for the extra travel. are the front springs longer too. any infor would be great.

will the front shocks work if they have the horse shoe shaped mounting bracket on them. mine has the std eye bolt bracket design. i see thee ones on ebay which are 17 inches at the bolts, mine are currently 13 inches. what do ya think?

For your sx you just need to remove the front shock brackets and then the longer shocks will bolt up to the bulkhead using the clevis (horse shoe) end at the top.

Any part numbers for this swap or pics or a list of what I need and where to get it. I would love a little more travel, either that or I am going to have to swap in a Extra 10, but this sounds a lot easier
