choke adjustment?

what is the proper adjustment for te choke? my sled runs fine when the choke is on half way, but when i take the choke off, it sounds like its loading up and it backfired on me. does this sound like the choke is adjusted wrong?

No sounds like carbs are dirty,pull em off and clean jets and all passages,check setting adjust if needed.
