Can someone tell me the differences between the
center dumps and the end dumps? I have center dumps
on my 600 triple now and I am looking into porting.
Am I losing power with the center dumps? Are they
worth 20hp on the 600? Any info would be great
Thanks

With the end dumps, Yes, you would make more power over what you have. In my opinion, I would sell what you have and get the end dumps.

End dumps are good for a realistic 15 hp on a 600 alltho pipemakers claim more. They run good from 8200-8800 rpm. Centre dumps need to be 79-8200 rpm. They fall off huge over 8200.
I had a bud with a 600 sx-r with bender pipes & good porting. It dynoed at 128 hp at 8700 rpm.

Wow! Do the 700s fair better?? I hear reports of 135+hp, is that only with end dumps, or just exaggerated? Realistic dyno of 700 with centers?

DIdn't know pipes ran lower rpm, thought they were tuned for stock 8400.

Yea with the hp claims they make when you do the
math you get a BMEP of over 170 on pump gas.
Always seemed high to me for pump gas mods.

Would like to see the stock dyno on that sled to benchmark. I find it VERY hard to believe that triple pipes only add 10 hp.
