May I Know Why Every People Wanna Switch Seat ??

Stock yamaha's are built for midgets, lol... I am 6'3", the Viper and SRX just dont fit me that well, lol... I put a 3.5" bar riser on my Viper and it improved greatly, but I still dont like my knees at <90* angle when sitting... I'd consider a Boss but then I'd need a 7" bar riser and I dont like the looks of the sled then...

The only potential problem I could see with the Boss was the higher center of gravity. Right now I can pretty aggressively push the Viper into a turn, hug the tank and corner faster than most ditch banger set ups. With the Excell, it looks like you still have that option. Boss...not so much. Am I wrong?

So, I am guessing there is a market for a Hi Ryze seat kit or seat here for the Proaction chassis sleds?
This is the "scotty" they were talking about. We have been making Hi Ryze kits for a few rider forward machines.
We do have a universal strap over kit available. Working on a second version of that as well. For $125 you get 3 inches in height added to your seat with pretty much no tools for installation. It uses cinch straps that go under your seat, that you use to pull tight. In some models, where the straps interfere with the tank mounts, you use the straps to get it good and tight, then staple the flaps on underneath, cut off the rest. Makes it easy for one person to get the topper on nice and tight. Has the "sticky seat" vinyl on the bottom and insides of the flaps to help grip against the existing seat to keep the unit from slipping around. This is not a Boss seat or to be compared to anything like that. It is just an alternative product. We thought about doing the snap flaps, but found it was too difficult and time consuming to try to fit this to every make and model machine with templates. Just something to throw out there.
I also do have a modified Boss seat. We took a stock Boss and modified it into a Hi Ryze. Have to figure out what it fits. Said for Summit 670, but doesnt fit the S chassis tank very well.

For the strap over kit, go to www.scottysparts.com click the ebay link and paste this item number in the search window 350280060834
I tried to post pics here, apparantly they are too large. Even with reducing in Photoshop, still too big, have no idea how to do the picture adjustment thing.
Scott

with my seat its not only 2-3" its more like 4-5". best mod ever, and with the big storage in the back i can easily fit a six pack without removing them from the rings and still throw in a couple regular size bags of chips.

Boss seat

There were a few seats on ebay for the apex I noticed if someone was needing one.

WOW..this just keeps on getting better!

Called Excell....their mold broke. Not making any more seat risers :o|

I'm signing up for upholstery classes!

UN #$%&* BELIEVABLE!

I'm not so sure you wanted one anyway. They add 8# and slope towards the tank. After a short time you find yourself sitting on the gas cap.:o|

Maybe give Mountain Mod a call and bug them to make what you want.

As for Staggs post:
"We're sorry, because of high demand on the New Boss Yamaha Seat, both FirstPlaceParts.com and the factory are Sold Out for the 2009/2010 Snow Season."

boss high rise flattop is the best mod that can be done if you do any amount of aggressive trail riding, i could not go back to a stock seat. i would much rather get rid of my pipes or longer track than the seat.

I couldn't lose any of those things....... But I like the Boss seat the best of all the mods!!!!!!

If I knew that they were going to sell out that fast I would have bought all 50 of them and reserved them for TY members. Oh well, maybe next year.
