is it just me or does the right side trailing arms seem to get banged up more than the left, mine is dinged up now, my 01 bent the right, and i always see used lefts for sale but not as many rights, man we need snow so i'll have better things to think about

i bent the right side on my 97 SX 700, i didnt even think it was a hard landing.... and there was 6+inches of snow ON TOP of a base, i must have hit it JUST RIGHT to bend it
I agree i have 2 right side arms that are trashed on the wall ...2 good lefts and one good right ,,,, the right side worth more than left

Now that you mention it all the pics/stories i've heard of are always about the right side, atleast the majority of the time. Might have something to do with the heavy can being on that side?
Probably more to do with the side of the trail being on the right side....and the tendency for drivers to stay to the right subconsciously.

X2 -
I've replaced two on two different sleds of mine... both right side. First one was from slapping the bank on a plowed road for some lube snow for the hyfax. 15 miles into the first ride with my brand new XCR, wanted to puke.
Second was over a frozen creek and the oppossing bank was a little too steep on my SRX. I was surprised that it bent and first thought it was too thin and should not have bent, but I didn't have to replace anything besides the bent arm (and radius rods) where as my XCR required a new foot-rest, tunnel straightening, radius rods, and trailing arm.
Unrelated, but I've also swapped carbides side to side due to the left wearing sooner than the right.

x2 on the crewcheif, i thought the same thing cause i wanted to do viper trailing arms on my srx once(longer spindles) for more ride height, and all over ebay was alot of left sides but not many rights, tough to find a set of both sides.

Yeah I bent a right side today and I was only doing maybe 30km/h crooked it like an elbow! It was my viper trailing rods I put on to get the extra ground clearance! Sucks now I have to put the original back on!

We have a guy here in Labrador that has a jig to fix the arms. He cuts them in half where the bend is and straightens it all out and then tig's it all back together for 40 bucks just like new!

I agree on the right arms getting bent more, bent my rightside last year and could only find good lefts out there. Finally found a right but it was a chore...
Well I can tell you that the left and the right don't stand up against trees to well! I took out the right one one Saturday, then the very next Saturday I took out the left one. I stay away from trees now...
