I have a tunnel extension on my 02 Viper, and would like to install a rear heat exchanger, can I still use the SRX one or do I need one from a mountain viper? what I'm asking is can I use the same one I would use for a standard viper or is there a different one I should look at? I didn a search and didn't find anything about this, also searching on ebay came up with 2 different looking rear heat exhangers. any help is appreciated!

It all depends
You are not finding an answer because it depends on the tunnel extension you have. Some of them are deep enough to accept a SRX/Viper style cooler but others that really taper up in the back will only accept a Mtn Viper/Mtn Max style. So whose tunnel extension do you have?

I used a Mountain Max extension. The best cooler for that setup is the Mountain Viper cooler as it has the same diameter piping as is on the stock Viper. I only had to buy the Mountain Viper coolant hoses to tie the two together. The stock Viper rear cooler ( well optional, but the proper one ) is larger and would hang down below the extension, so I sold that one. My engine is basically stock, so with the stock engine the only time I have cooling issues is when I should be using ice scratchers anyways. And I'm running an M10 and a 1.5" Intense so that doesn't help.

Yes this does help a lot. Must have overlooked it during my searches. I don't know what tunnel extension I have, maybe if I post a pic later tonight it will help, but from the pics it looks like the mountan max one is what I'm going to have to find. thanks!
