I was thinkin a friend used 2 different compounds on his trailer before he polished it????
If it was a fine scratch and you ran over the same area over and over , then yeh it would probably remove it. Theres all different types of compounds, depending on how rough the surface is....you will use a different compound.

the compunds are different grits just like sandpaper, i just stripped the paint off my srx, started with brown compound with a firm wheel, then white rouge with a medium wheel, and green with a soft wheel, if your doing a tunnel that was bare from the factory you could skip the brown

Been there & done that californiacustom has a sealer in it that makes cleanup easy as wiping with a soft cloth.
