What rollers to use with heelclickers

Hi there!

I`m waiting for a heelclicker kit 40/10 for my 2003 Viper Mountain.

I`ve heard that you have to change the rollers when using heelclickers, is that a fact?

I havent measured the rollers I have now but I am 99% sure they are stock.

I know there are info on the techpages but they doesnt always tell wether it is a stock sled or if it is piped etc.

I`m going to use the red HC primary spring and a green secondary spring with a 48/40 helix. (recommended by Turk).

My engine is all stock.

I only think of climbing, I dont care about top speed.

Anyone have any opinon on this?

try 14.5 rollers.It'll help clamp the belt better.Turk suggested that to me when I ran my clickers.

Use 15mm rollers. As you will see in the instructions, some interference problems might arise with the 14mm rollers. Remember to grind the washers on the heel bolt so that they will not touch the rollers when the clutch slams together.

Thats the problem using 14.5 rollers with heel clickers, makes an already aggresive weight even more aggressive which leads to too much track spin on take off and at about 100 feet out.

and instantaneous to the track for sure.That is why they recommend studs.

Hmm okey guys I measured my rollers today and they were 15,5mm (I figure they are 15,6mm stock but is a little worn).

Do I need to change them?

If you change them you might wanna think of getting some studs, your definately going to need them I have 144 trail studs on my track now and I still blow the track track out to about 150-200 ft then the sled starts pulling hard. I have taken off my Heelclickers for now until I get the 192 Ice chisels for ice dragging, with that amount of power that gets to the track 192 might be on the light side. I have the 15.6mm stock rollers on, but going to get the 14.5 when ice dragging

Nothing wrong with 15.6 rollers and clickers. It will soften up the initial shift which will help you out in the powder (assuming this is for the mtn viper). I ran them in my srx in the mountains last year. Worked great.

Did you check that the washers on the heel bolt didn't touch the rollers upon backshift?

I had to lightly touch them on the grinder to make sure that nothing rubbed, but it was really light.
