I need some pictures of anyone who has a 1998 V Max SX with electric start, the pics I need are where to mount the start and such, as I am doing a retro fit here, I have the damn book on it, but it really isn't much help. I did a search and yes I see a lot have done it, but I would just like to have some pictures to go by. Thank for any help on this little project.
Oh ya one curious question, was in normal for the SX to come with an ignition that has the START on the key. I would have though an non EC one would just go to run and not have a usless option for a non equipped EC one.

Were To Mount The Start? The Starter ??? The Solenoid??? The Key Switch Yes Will Have The Crank Position For Electric Start

And Yes Yama, pretty much everything I need pics of, as I got a bar bones Max here, I just do not want to install it wrong, I know it is pretty much bolt and go, but I am just a person who likes pictures to go by haha.

Starter mounts on the front left of the engine in front of the clutch. 1 Long bolt in teh back of the starter and 1 or 2 shorties in teh front near the clutch. If you take your clutch off you can look at the flanges that it mounts too.

The starter mounts on the front - PTO side, near the bottom of the engine behind the clutch. Getting the bolts in is a bit tricky. If I remember correctly it is like a 10 or 12 mm - and you have to use the open end wrench while holding your finger against the bolt head. This was for one or both bolts, you may have to work from the clutch side - with the clutch off.
