Hi guys, I bought a venture 600 triple 2001 last year. This fall I cleand the clutches and throw a kit in the primary(bushings and roller...). Now i have the same problem than last year! I can easily climb to 9000RPM. My clutching is around 4000-4100 RPM. The last owner replaced the spring in the primary, one of the rivets for a heavier one(think it is now 2 17.2 rivets but not sure on that one...).
So curent setup is:
Primary:
Yellow White Yellow = 128kg total force, 45kg preload
8DG ramps whit 17.2 inner and outer
Stock Rollers
Secondary:
Red spring whit holes 2 and 6 which i believe is 80 degree wrap
Stock Setup is:
Primary
Pink Green Pink = 139kg total force, 40kg preload
8DG ramps whit 17.2 outer and 13.9 inner i believe(not sure wich is wich)
stock rollers
Secondary:
Red spring whit 70 deg wrap
So now considering I am on a student budget but still want a safe trail setup, what should I look into replacing spring with a softer one? Adding even more weight to the arms? Thanks for the help guys. My tech at my dealer told me last year that all those 600 triple came with too light clutch setting and that they all over reved.
P.S. If more info is needed I can go and look for it. And I am not sure if the throtle is totally to the limit when i get 9000RPM maybe my brain limit it there :P
