Any help its a 2000 Srx
Low end runs alright but once it is wound up it misses or cuts out? 6000rpm
Would the tors wires do this any one kno what color wire s should be connected to bypass the tors.... I might of screw this up, I attemped to hook this up in the summer the right way. But then tried to rewire it bypassed not sure if the right wires were connected.
Thanx

The 2 wires from the wiring harness hook back into each other and the 2 from the carbs just stay unplugged

No....
TORS only effects RPMS up around 3,000 rpms not engine off spark or idle spark or top end spark, everyone is qwick to blame TORS.
if it was a tors problem you wouldnt get her over 3 grand

my 2000 was doing the same thing when i bought it last year, mine turned out to be a burnt piston, still got it:

Mine was doing something similar, I was able to get it to full revs if I tickled the throttle. Turns out I have a broken PV cable.
Nope the lights do not flicker or any thing else. It would barely move today it was backfiring and power less. It ran good on the stand and as soon as it hit snow its started backfiring. Now its leaking coolant from the mag side some where. The pto plug was really carboned up and the other 2 looked good.
u will need to check compression...power valve ...spark plug boot, reed if they are not broken and make sure those carburator are clean ...
It backfires from the carb mouth?
compression 140 cross the board
power valves are set and good
Carbs are cleaned
never checked the boots.
when i cleaned the carbs I peeked at the reeds they looked good?
